The routes we ride and love. Endless miles of dirt roads and trails interrupted by the occasional small town. Views that extend from mountain top to valley bottom.

Farm to Mountain

This route combines the best of Vermont’s two flavors, rugged mountains and rolling farmland. The rugged part of the route crosses of one of our favorite playgrounds, Moosalamoo National Recreation Area, where solitary double track and dirt roads lead to secluded mountain lakes. The rolling part of the route trades mountains for the open fields and farms of Addison County. Think quaint villages, veggie-piled farmstands, and long ribbons of dirt roads. This is a good route for those who want a taste of everything.

NEK FTW

The Northeast Kingdom (NEK) is Vermont’s most rural, most wild, and most northeast corner. Out here, the gravel is more gravely, the hills are more hilly, and the solitude is more profound. If Thoreau had a bike, he would have chosen this route. And, like Thoreau, our remote ramblings will require that we make the occasional stop in town for sustenance and refreshments.

The Vuelta de Mansfield is a voyage, a circumnavigation of Vermont’s most iconic peak, Mt. Mansfield. This route is all poetry and drama as the route dips and climbs each flank of Vermont’s tallest mountain. Breweries and cider donuts abound, making for a prefect mix of pedal power and rest stops. Whether riding Mt Mansfied’s ridges or camping beneath the peak, the Vuelta de Mansfield has all the elements of an epic.
